Flying Scotsman over Ribblehead Viaduct
Landscape Photography - Feat: the Flying Scotsman over Ribblehead Viaduct
Last week I photographed the worlds most iconic steam train, the "Flying Scotsman". There's only one place that'll compliment steams royalty and that's at the awesome Ribblehead Viaduct set in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Preparing and setting up the shot an hour or so before hand, the weather was looking a little hit and miss. Thankfully the weather and the light could't have been better in the end.
Apparently this was a once-in-a-lifetime shot... no pressure then!
Grab yourself a coffee, sit back and watch me talk you through my landscape workflow. It pretty much covers every aspect of the shoot. This includes choosing the right spot to shoot from based on may factors. The direction of the train over the Viaduct, the wind, the light, the right angle, even the correct composition, well the composition I chose on the day.
I show you pictures I took on a previous visit to Ribblehead too.
Photoshop: Furthermore I've also included a "Post Production" walk-through. I've even included the actual files for you to have a go yourself. The pictures are yours to keep
